Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers
Texas Tech University
Welcome to Our Familia!

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) Texas Tech University chapter was founded in 1990. Since then, this chapter has been dedicated to promoting the professional, leadership, and academic development of our members and encourage awareness in Science and Engineering studies among the Hispanic community. Through a series of general meetings, events, workshops, and conferences, the SHPE-TTU chapter aims to provide opportunities that will propel our members to succeed in the professional world and beyond!
SHPE Events
Get Involved!
There are many ways to get plugged into SHPE at Tech.We truly encourage you to come and find your place with us so we can grow together socially, academically, and professionally! We do our best to provide something for everyone. This is a BIG familia, and we want you to be a part of it!

Intramurals
If you enjoy sports or just want to have fun and get to know more people, join us for intramurals. We play games such as flag football, indoor and outdoor soccer, and indoor and outdoor volleyball plus much more!

SHPE Jr
One of the most important things that we do is SHPE Jr. Since our main objective is to lead Hispanics in STEM, we do our best to promote STEM to kids and spark the fire for learning. We have plenty of events that are aimed to keep inspiring the next generations of STEM leaders.

SHPEtinas
SHPEtinas is a program meant to encourage, highlight and empower Latinas in STEM. We hold events for SHPEtinas and allies that are meant to provide a network for Latinas to grow and succeed. "Igniting Latinas in STEM!"

Meetings and Socials
We have regular general meeting where we talk about upcoming events as well as host info sessions and professional development workshops. We also host many socials where we encourage anyone to come out and meet new people and get to know their peers while having a good time.
